I went to get an mot the other day and it failed on the emissions.
The CO2 was really high, they said it should be or below 0.5 and mine is like 3.4. Also they couldnt communicate with my ecu either so dont know what the next step is. It has been chipped but wouldnt of thought that would affect it that much, it also has got a brand new cat on there as well. can any help with what this could be? cheers

I thought they only measure CO (carbon monoxide) not CO2 (carbon dioxide) at MOT?

And I thought the CO limit was 3.5%?

Mine's always well high too! lol

Was the engine cold or hot? It seem you need to get it as hot as possible before you arrive as that will help reduce the emissions.

Sounds like it needs a service, sparks, clean/replace dizzy and clean/replace the air filter while your doing it.
