Hi Guys,

As some of you may already know, i'm in my final year at uni and doing my dissertation on my placement employer, Lexus.

I've put together a short questionnare which should help me to find out why people arent buying Lexii ! :lol:

I have quite admired some of the Lexus range, such as the Soarer which is quite a beastie, but most of it is image related...these are cars for old men with beards and pipes.

Hey Lunner,

Not at all! Anyone can take the questionnaire, thats a fault on my part, i was intending for the recipients to all be over 20 and preferably 50+ as thats Lexus' target market, but obviously its going to be very hard to get 100 responses of people over 50, hence sending the link to everyone.

Yeah, the pipe and slippers image is pretty much the image that Lexus seems to have at the moment. The IS F and LFA are attempting to change that, but its going to take a while for sure.

I realise that is their aim with that car...it's just a shame they don't have a car like the Nissan luxury brand, Ininiti. I think they little Skyline Coupe is sexy.

Is their target market really the over 50's? Do you know what percentage of their production today is sold to which age groups?

Thanks for filling it out. :)

The average age of the lexus customer is between 50-60. Their target market is bound to be in that bracket if thats where they are experiencing most sales. It would appear that with their latest products they are trying to drive this age down.
