it was number 1793 it was imported to britain in 1995 and registered with the plate a 16 vcw which i thought was a nice touch.i bought it in 2002 and had it for 5yrs to which i spent around £15k doin it all up but one day drivin to work the clutch release bearin collapsed and then over nite as it sat at ma work a couple of boys broke into it and where caught in the act by the police so it then got taken away to b checked for finger prints which took about 2 months then by the time i got it bak the company who had it in storage gave me it bak and it was wrecked windows smashed, panels dented and cracked and bumpers hangin off also broke ma stainless exhaust.so as i was tryin to get money off them for the damage they caused to it the council came and took it away and crushed it even though it was on private ground.

You are having a laugh, you must be joking, what a nightmare! Pretty much the same story happened to one of my dad's cars, it got damaged more in the compound than when the joy riders took it!

well because i couldnt prove the condition of it before they took it i was told theres nuthin i could do even though i had all the recipts for all the work i had done including the full respray that was only done about 6 months before it all happened. also the wheels got changed bak to standard ones as ma mate took the prima racin ones for his white hybrid but dont hav any pics of it wi them on.

yeah tell me about it but ma plans this year is to get another one and instead of goin the show route i plan to strip it and poss turbo but dont know wether i should get a williams or jst buy a valver in tungy grey or naples red if am goni tack prep it???????

this was for sale on ebay a few weeks ago mate im sure of it.

Did you delock the doors on it ? or i might be getting confussed - im sure the owner was down london way with this car

i never delocked the doors and i was stayin in kent at the time of everything happenin so possibly could b.thanks very much for this as i can trace the car as all the main parts for the engine are all engraved with traceable details and i still hav all the original v5 log book and regristration form for the number plate.maybe i will get it bak(fingers crossed).

buy a williams - you will end up converting the valver anyway.

What size are the wheels in the pics? 16'' or 17''?

yah it was converted over to right hand drive and the wheels were 16" but in certain pics and angles they look like 17"

How did the council end up getting it and crushing it? Did they just stop buy one day and pick it up or was it due to no tax??

it had no taxt but was declared off the road as it couldnt b driven due to the damage but it was in private car parkin off street.

yup thats correct i bought fae a garage in blackburn i think it was a jap garage as i remember there was jst jap cars in the place.
