Hi guys,

As I had a small knock in the ice and now my tracking is out, I thought I would take the opportunity to refresh the wishbones, track rods and end and possibly the suspension.

I am a bit cauious to fit valver track rods as i know they are short and pushed to the limit of thread when installed on a willy.

I went to renault for a quote just to see how much for original parts.

so renault said:

wishbone 58 pounds each (ex VAT)
Track rod 40.92 pounds (ex VAT)
Track rod end 73.32 pounds (ex VAT)...cant belive that!
Shock 48.69 (ex VAT)
Springs 84.13 (ex VAT)

I know I can use R19 16V wishbones which are about 30 pounds each from GSF...so will get those.
The shock price is not too bad i feel.
I could even stretch to the track rod

BUT i do not want to pay that much for the springs or the track rod ends.

Could I use valver track rod ends ? could these be purchased from GSF?

And can I get springs cheaper anywhere else or do I have to pay that much?

Advice would be grateful as I know many of you guys have replaced these parts.

PS...what is the best oil to use!...i know its probably been asked but i see what you say!

Get used 172 cup springs.

Valver t.rod ends as you say are too short but seem fine in my experience. Tracking place whined about them but I said stfu and just do it.

The prices from Renault are ridiculous. I want them hand made out of titanium for that price.

Valver TRE's are about £15 from GSF :wink:

Ive got both track rod ends brand new sat in my garage make me an offer, they dont come with the locknuts so theyll need sourcing

Oh also they are reno ones ill get a photo up if you want when i get home on saturday
