Well im new to the scene and been asking loads of advise so thought id make a little post till im a paying member.

I bought her as so:

16v with Williams engine :) cammed im told, green cotton filter, exhaust and decat.

Faults were leaky sunroof, gearbox gone and powersteering leak. so spend the weekend gutting her to fix her up.

while apart i changed the box, She has a new clutch and new clutch cable new mount and new suspension.

I found the engine mount in this condition

the top half as you can see is very bent to :S

Also the suspension i took of was cut on one side and not the other see how bad it is:

so replaced with new ones only a small drop tho :)

I put it all back together then, gave her a damn good clean and polish as she was standing for a long time as shes come out very well in my opinion :) oo i also lowered the back slightly to.

Also added the williams stickers as they were included with the car :)

Shes never been welded and the arches are very very good.

Next on the list is remove the small dent out of the drivers side rear arch and im missing a passenger side quarter trim. then refurb the wheels :)

Wow. Looks like you didnt waste any time sorting the kinks out. Looking very nice indeed mate!

Get them wheels sorted and it will look mint.

Looks so much better after a clean and polish well done mate, you're certainly not afraid to get stuck in, I take it you know your way round these cars? Can I bring my Williams to you when I need work doing... :wink:

I prefer to dive in head first with my cars and get as much done as quick as possible.lol

If im honest this is the first time I have ever worked on one of these.lol Ive only ever changed a clutch in a 1.4rt before for a friend. My last few cars were fords but every car is the same to work on I suppose just laid out diffrent.lol here are my last fiestas.lol

I know they are fords so not to everyones taste but i loved my white one.lol

On the sticker front as well they were free with the car so thought i might as well put them on for now as i liked them matching the wheels. Ive been tempted when i refurb them to do them White or silver but not sure if they will suit. Anyone have any pictures of this colour clio with white/silver williams wheels :)

tommo - if your local to me i dont mind helping, would be nice to meet some owners.lol Ill get some pictures up of my mates 16valver in black...its 100% immaculate.

Refurbing the wheels next weekend to.lol

I really liked the xr2s, stepped on the sideskirt of my mates one in 87 and it snapped off lol, must be more careful getting out of them

I like the little old XR2 as well. Bonkers and light when stripped :)

Get the front offside fog light lined up properly on that Clio! :D Looks a lot better, and that's how my engine mount was as well when I bought mine!

Ive always loved my mk2 fiestas.lol they are wicked cars!!!

I checked if it was Williams when it was out, below inlet towards the right hand side of the block was a plaque that said F7R on it.

F7R it is then :) Was it written in white? Probably a megane bottom end.

loving the white xr2 on the pepperpots! my first cars were mk2 fezzys and always wanted a xr2 just could never insure one lol

actually had a radiant red mk2 with pepperpots on simular to the red one above! brings back memorys lol

Its not no, i sold it to someone in devon, you can miss my old one lol if you look the pots are silly wide, they are capri pepperpots (205 wide) with 185/55 stretchd.lol

The white one you saw may be my friend benny, 2ltr on carbs in standard looking xr2.lol

My white one above actually started life as a 1.1, i spent hours and hours on her!

my red fezzy was a 1.1 pop plus with a 1.4 out of a orion lol was nippy for what it was! loved it tbh, never broke down aswell which was a suprise pmsl! sold it to a mate and 4 week later i saw it wrapped around a lamp post!!! :x
