Ooooh, I'm a possible  just dependant on when it has to be paid for
I have spoken with circuit days.
They will give us a 12% percent discount on the track day – making it £170 a car
BUT to get this deal the following conditions apply.
1. We need to pay end of March.
2. We need to pay in one go – so that’s £1750 total for ten cars. I will handle the payment if people want to pay me direct.
Please if your name is down can you get payment to me ASAP. If I can not get the ten cars the deal is off – so come on guys spread the word.

LOL Tommo :)
Hey Toms, we can compare diffs mate, see if yours is any louder etc than mine...yours has done really well to not need any maintenance so far.
Could do some camping, though at my age I cant handle more than a couple of beers or else I end up a cabbage and unable to move the next day, let alone drive.
Yes Wobba we can compare diffs, mine is old and loud now, think it is due a refurb tbh, the last one was 8 years ago! Make sure you keep on top of the gear box oil changes and it will be fine mate
dunno about that Dan, you seemed to handle a fair number at the weekend pal!

2 Tanks!
Bloody hell.
Mat.
1/2 fill your car and bring two full 20L jerry cans with u. Take home what u dont use!
hmm... I'm going to try and limit myself and not be out literally all day, otherwise it will cost an absolute fortune!
Going to need to stock up on tyres too :( Does anyone know where the best place to get R888 SG's is? Or any other recommendations for road legal slicks? Currently using the Toyo super soft compound.
Mate, the R888, especially the softs, are silly money now :(
Still, if you want them email camskill and they will give you a discount code and a link. Still expensive though. My R1R's came to about £360 inc vat/del.
Many are turning to Hancocks track tyre now as it is about £50-60 per tyre.
How much fuel do we need to last the day?
Mat.
Mat it really depends on how you go mate and how your car is. Some people go everywhere in 1st/2nd gear whereas others use higher gears and some come into the pits more. It's not just all about driving don't forget, many like a good old chat and a break here and there.

It's the only alternative to Toyo's (other than v. expensive Yoko's) that I know of for track days :( . The R1R's are slightly cheaper but still a lot.
I'm hoping to get some Hankooks for Anglesey, even if they aren't as good as the other trackday tyres, the price is right!

Yup, although having just looked mines a fair whack slower than yours. The SC conversion must be pretty decent-imagine yours must be rapid!

Must admit, i didn't really get chance to speak to that many people on the day. You're briefly in one of my vids as you came out of the pit lane on your warm up lap-awesome looking car.

haha, yeah no worries Rob, long time no see, be good to catch up!
Don't expect any heroics though, I've not done a trackday for over a year, so won't be pushing hard at all... mind you, looking at some of the cars going I think I'll be sat with the indicator on for a lot of it... couple of GTR Nissan's, Lambo, Atom, Megabusa... scary!
haha no worries, same from this side to, I havent driven the Williams for nearly two years, will be my first time driving the old girl tonight!
what MPG, tell u something u must be rolling in it to run that car as a daily!
either that or u have pixies drinking the stuff when its parked up. Always putting fuel in the feker.
U need more than 2 jerry cans, a full tanker should do u!!!!
Tis quick though jon. I am enjoying my time with it at the min, although i have a constant humming in my ears now.

Yup still running the same as ever, albeit with slightly dodgy rear panel resparay by myself, and 2 whole years of rusty sills but I dont need to tell you about how the cars attract feckin rust, its a piss take, its been sat in adry garage for 2 years and still looks like left overs from the scrapyard!!

Per their website you need to take your driving license. I'd take both the paper and card element.
On the day you'll need to turn up at 8 for driver talk and sign the disclosures neccessary.

Just want to say thanks to everyone who came on the trackday – to say that you all paid and were booked on for the start of April was a great achievement!
I first posted up Wed Jan 20, 2010. So its been a long time coming!
What a cracking day – I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did – nice to catch up with everyone and see some new faces there too.
Couldn’t have asked for a better day, and no brake downs or accidents always make the event a great success. Thank you guys!
TBH – Jamies trophy was the first one I have seen do a full trackday without crashing and being written off lol. Remember Cadwell a few years ago!
Jon – well impressed with your car pal. I could have gone around all day in that.
Rob – nice to see u and the OHX! Will have to get another one booked for 2011.
Matt – I cannot believe I have finally got you on a trackday in that cup lol.
Wobba – will check to see what footage I have of your car (if I had the camera recording)
Wobba - please come more prepared next time lol. I lost count of the stuff u had borrowed. Think u need a new rank on wc.
Jamie – thanks for the passenger ride. Went very well from what I saw. Did u get to have a doo with Tommo on the way home.
Tommo – I didn’t stay behind u for long as I couldn’t see with the sun reflecting off your super polished paintwork haha.
ThRaXaIR - how come i saw a HX on the rear corner of yours ?
Leighanne - always a pleasure x
How lets see pictures of who has the most sunburnt face :winkey:
Thanks to northy for organising this, had a great day, my car performed well too and didn't break! Thanks to Mat Brown for giving me for a few passenger laps in his cup racer and LA for taking Lou out. Yes the bank holiday traffic was a nightmare, took ages to get home...
Lol Northy, it was not ALL my fault! Honest :D
Be cool if you have some footage though, and yes, thanks for organising the day. That car of yours is bloody quick. Sure it's a 1.8???

I`ve been on a lot of trackdays and often, car clubs arrive and are quite frankly, mobile chicance. However, I felt I had to join up to say that the manners and driving standards of the Clio Williams drivers was superb. Using mirrors when necessary, following the overtaking rules and generally being very well behaved. I hope to meet you on track again.
I have photos of most cars from the day, my son was out taking pictures, here is one of Northy to start, I`ll try and go through the rest this week, but if anyone has a pressing need to see their car sooner, let me know what colour / reg it was and I`ll look ASAP.

Hello Nige and thanks for the kind comments about our drivers. You seemed to go past me a good few times to be honest – not sure what your Golf is running but hopefully it’s something like a 5.0 V10.
It’s funny as although I have spent a good amount of time slagging off some of the drivers there who weren’t paying attention to the rules and doing other annoying things. I did mention in passing to a couple of others there that there was someone in a Golf who was very polite – so that makes me feel a little better!
I was in the red (some may say pink) Renault Clio Trophy.
agreed it was a cracking day, did end up alittle burnt despite using loads of sunblock lol

I`m running a 2.0 16V ABF engine, standard apart from a set of GSXR ITB`s I fitted the other week. They are on a super safe map at the moment, until I get it to a dyno. Its putting out about 170 - 175HP at the moment, but hopefully has another 5 > 10 when its properly mapped.
I find that people who have driven a fair few laps on the ring (I`ve just passed my 1,000th lap milestone) are much more aware of other traffic, I suppose its usually as a result of sharing it with coaches and bikers
Hi Nige
If you have any pics of L185 FBV, would be much appreciated if you posted them up. Thanks for the nice comments about our on-track etiquitte, to be honest I spent most of the day moving over for everyone with it being my first trackday, most of my time was spent learning how hard I could push my car in the corners, braking points, racing lines etc.
My first few times out were diabolical lol, wobba went onto the grass, and I almost followed him and northy went past me like I was stood still at one point! I slowly started to learn the limits of the car which really shocked me just how fast I could enter and exit the corners, the car felt so good driven at the limit, them Toyo R1R's and gripper diff help. Think I nailed my best laps on the last session I went out. I'm still buzzing about it all now, when's the next one northy
( Sorry i didn't come over and say hello, didn't see you about much.
Nice looking car though.

Hi guys, had a great day in the orange Atom on Monday. I seem to have spent most of the afternoon following Northy round so I'll post some footage up (not of him facing the wrong way at seamans) when I get a chance. I'll try and do it tonight, if not it will be Tuesday I'm afraid.
haha hi Drinks, yes but unfortunlatly that was my girlfriend driving with me directing. Was my fault we half spun lol.
i have you on footage too later in the afternoon so will be good to compare lines
I did remember u in my mirrors at one point later in the afternoon but not close enough to warrant moving over - so i hope i didn't hold u up???
Will look forward to the videos, i have started watching some of them already.

I think we were going around at roughly the same rate over the lap, maybe you were a touch quicker. You certainly kept your momentum up through the corners, i'm hoping you were on slicks and got on the power earlier than I did.
Was good following you, I think you adopted the same line as me through rocket towards the end of the day. Which is unusal as most people stay to the left for the right hander that follows...
Nige, seen ur posts on openpitlane.co.uk - Do u know who the official photographer was?
Official photographer was Nick at www.xtremesportsphotography.net but the site is down and has been for a while, as far as I know you can still email him at:-
xtremephotography@live.co.uk
I was lucky enough to go out with John the instructor 1st thing in the morning and he took me around. I was missing nearly all apex's before.
I find the tuition very beneficial and always go better afterwards.
Last time i did Anglesey was 3 years ago when it was restructured, so i was a bit rusty! Takes me a few hours to fine tune myself lol.
At rocket i was trying to hit the second apex ontowards peel (same as you) Peel and the hairpin took me a while to get correct.
I think i have you on film, but will need to check. (as I'm not sure what car i am actually behind) other than its a open top space framed thingy
And i am on slicks, however they are very very old and the rubber is cracking / tearing haha. I need them to get on the power early as i only have a 1.8 16v engine. So did struggle for grunt!

Watching your vids on openpitlane I think I was turning in too early on a couple of the corners. It's difficult to stay out for so long. Where it was particularly obvious was coming off the home straight.
thanks for the video Drinks - what specs your car ? as its got a short rev range from that video.

This is one of mine - only done two so far. Rest will follow.

What kind of lap times were people getting?
Looking at my video, my best was a 1.50:12. My laptimes were dropping throughout the day and that was set 4 laps from the end of the day, so I was still improving.
thanks for the video Drinks - what specs your car ? as its got a short rev range from that video.

Next trackday is cadwell 25th march, going to be an epic day with a good mix of cars and a couple of guys who race in the NSSCC in 1600cc and are very quick.
You missed out on a cracking day at brands with near perfect weather, got a bit of vid with a frenchist traffic jam.
