is it worth fitting both of these? my williams is used for track and it does get very hot obviously. so wondering if its all worth it really for that little bit of extra cooling.

im talking bout the ones off the ktec website...

cheers.

fair enough i'll have one off mat then? they the same as the ones k-tec sell then? and why dont they come on the cars in the first place then?

the air flow with your heater doesnt get so hot with these fitted, hence renault dont fit them as people would complain about getting too cold. dont change it by much but it helps your engine a little.

Same principal, might not be the same manufacturer.

I run the low temp fan switch and it's a godsend, rarely ever need to look at my temp gauge as it never goes over halfway...though my waterways are mint now and coolant that's been in there for 3k miles is still clear blue with no staining.

Blue?
Should be Yellow/Green type D.

low temp thermostat is essential on track imo in your not running an external ( ie 13row ) oil cooler, helps keep temp at a max of 110deg on the std cooler. if just using the car for road tho which 90% do then std 89deg stat is fine :D

unless running a turbo which is also water cooled..

IMHO, I think its more about oil temperature you should be looking at when caning the engine. If it never gets past 120C much while thrashing and drops back below 100C during normal use - that should be safe.

As for the water temperature gauge, as long as the needle stays below the thermometer icon, that should be OK.
