Looking at giving my engine bay a bit of a clean up over the next few weeks as it's looking a bit tatty, there are a few part codes and prices I need.

Mani heat shield
Plastic inlet cover
F16 ie plastic cover

Has anyone got any tips and recommended products to use to get rid of the grease and general crap? I'm not going as far as taking the engine out but would like to at least make it look presentable...

Help much appreciated.

Cheers

becarefull cleaning the engine bay mate - you will remove all the nice oil protecting from rust. And it will be corrodesville.

Give the underneath of the bonnet a wipe over with WD40.

Don't think I'll steam clean Jon, you know what it's like with old dodgy french electrics!!

Yeah northy I was more thinking of just wiping over things, so you think WD40 is the best for the job? I just want it to look a bit more presentable as it's got a bit of the rat look going at the moment! lol

Traffic Film Remover is what you want! Or Autogylm Machine Cleaner, same stuff basically.
