Hi there,
i was looking at some springs from a 172 for my williams, the fronts had the 2 white marks on them, but the rears only had 1 white mark on each - can anyone tell me if this is right please?
Cheers

the rear suspension on the williams is differant to the 172 cup. So u dont need the rear springs at all.

The fronts should have two white dots of paint on. These are correct.

Thanks for that
if i want to replace the rear springs as well can you tell me what the options are?
Or do you normally just replace the fronts?

There are no rear springs. Only dampers

rear has torsion bars but there expensive to buy..renault only i think..

there is one upgrade stiffer bar before buying motorsport bars..

The springs from a 172 are exactly the same as the 16v/williams just easier to find.

some peeps put 17poo cup springs on the Willy as it lowers the rid height a tad and stiffens things up

Yeah, I put 172 cup springs on my car and never really noticed too much difference :S However, I think Danny (the guy who bought my old one) said he could feel the difference. Ride height is lowered about 3mm and higher poundage.
