oops, small skid and now steering off!

H oguys,

Small vey low speed skid today. went up a curb, luckily on a slope bit to someones drive way. shat myself as i thought i was going to hit a wall, but the drivers side inside wheel to the impact on the curb. Initial inspection ok, but then steering off a quarter turn. both wheels still pointing in same direction.

I hope it is just tracking that has been knocked off, but I feel this is unlikely. Will get it on a ramp tommorrow to look. What do you guys think?

Subframe or wishbone are normally the first things to bend.

If it is subframe or wishbone is that costly or difficult to replace?

yeh wishbone if it was genuinely gentle. you have to batter it a tad harder to do your subframe.

was really sllow. 20 mph tops! just locked up and could not come out of slide!

lets hope its just the wishbone. Is that a one man job with a trolley jack or more labour intensive?

Take it some where to get the wheel aligment checked, they should be able to tell you whats bent if they're a decent outfit
