Hi

Does anyone know the difference between these shocks? I think i may have a 16v front shock fitted to my williams as one side has negative camber and im sure that nothing is bent etc.

Thanks :D

Damm!! No Edit!!

I wondered this as i thought that maybe the 16v shock is not for widetrack and so pulls the top of the hub in towards the car slightly??

Yer 16v shocks on a williams will give loads of neg camber

Easiest and cheapest way to tell would be to swap the complete struts side to side and see if the camber follows the strut

I'll think i'll have to do that tomorrow before i go splashing out on a replacement! Thanks mate :)

Exactly, you'll know the problem then.

You'll need a 21mm swan neck spanner and a set of allen keys to undo the top nut.

Undo the bottom strut bolts and it should come out complete, swap these side to side and look at the camber.

I sold a pair of williams shocks to a lad who'd fitted williams wide track and 16v struts and his tyres lasted a very short amount of time as the camber is rediculous.

I run valver shocks and willy wide track, tyres last for a good few thousand, not many though, sticks like shit round corners, tramlines like **** in a straight line though
