THIS IS MY SONS 1.4 CLIO HE IS IN THE ARMY AND WAS GOING BACK TO READING THE CENTRAL LOCKING STOPPED WORKING OFF THE FOB IT DID IT ONCE BEFORE ALLI DID WAS CHANGE THE IR SENSOR IN THE ROOF I HAVE DRIED IT OUT AND TRIED 5 OTHER UNITS I WAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY HAS USED THESE GUYS WHO REMOVE THE IMMOBILISER OUT OFF THE ECU :(

Could try fitting an early ECU which doesn't have the immobiliser built in.

As Mr Brown says. New ECU is easiest way if you need to dis-engage immobiliser on the fob to enable car to start.

Otherwise you need to take to Renault to get them to re-code the key to ecu.

If sunroof is leaking and you go for latter option, will just happen again. Too expensive to keep ding this.

New phase 1 ECU will cure your problem. This is what I did when sunroof leaked killing the chip board. No issues after that. Just never had central locking.

thanks for advice i sent immobiliser off and had it sorted for 80 quid now runs fine
