Right, this is the passenger side bar in the bay. Some slam panel of sorts from side. Forgive me for not knowing term!!

Im a bit pissed off at this rust. Whats the verdict? Treatable?

As discussed in another topic. Oil. Great repellant. The driver side is caked in oil, steering fluid and not one sign of rust, its like new when you wipe it away. Might spray the car in oil!! lol!!

doesn't look serious treat it then use a zinc rich paint then correct body colour. a fav to use as a cheap rust preventative was old oil and grease topping it up once a year :)
