View Full Version : Which LH driveshaft to use with the gripper diff.

Been searchin hi and low regarding this topic.

There seems to be differing views about which LH driveshaft to use with the gripper diff.

Some say std. LH Williams shaft is to long when a Gripper diff is used.
What is your experince with this - your setup?

BUt it depends if you have widetrack or not.

When i picked mine up i was told i need to use the shorter 16v driveshaft.
Even measured the shaft he was using and it was indeed 16v length.

That is correct Mat,
But I did not think Ian ( seller) of the box Clio was /is Wide tracked.

16v shaft is OK Williams is too long. Although 16v one is too shart really be with a spacer its spot on. For a track car with some camber it (16v one) should be fine.

No issues with mine on the rally car.
