I need a favour if possible,

Does anyone have either a 172/182 F4R engine or the williams F7R engine that is currently spare or out of the car in the Peterborough or Cambridgeshire area?

I'm trying to help a college get a Formula Renault car up and running for next year and they need to know if there current Hewland gearbox bell housing adaptor plate will bolt up to one of the two mentioned 2.0ltr Renault engines.

If you have and can spare a few minutes at some point in the near future they would like to trial fit the adaptor to the engine. Any help would me much appreciated, please reply here or send me a PM.

Thanks

Adi

I thought they used the f3p block and head as in the Van diemens single seaters.

I think your right from what I have read so far. The college still want to fit a F4R or an F7R into it though. So need to test out this adaptor plate on an engine first.

the newer formula renault 2.0s use an F4R

either way, the gearboxes should be swappable between them as they're all F-series?

aye same bolt pattern as long as alloy sump as I think the steel sumps differ at the bell housing
