View Full Version : Anyone know of companies who can rebuilt driveshafts?
I'm in the process of giving up hope realy the driveshafts I've ordered up to now have all been wrong so I'm thinking that my only option is rebuiling the inside gaiters of mine (since that the only broken bit).
So does anyone know who can rebuild them though I remember Mark saying you could get them done for £60 but no names mentioned.

what problems are you having edde with the parts your being supplied

The fact was Halfords sold me a 1.8 shaft (I guess judging by its sized on the drivers side plus it has smaller bearng on the end).
On the passengers side the one they sold me was for the other type of connection
However wasn't to bad as when I bought then I got a 10% discount when I took them back I got a full refund so I was £20 up. They got there money back though as I went and spent £170 on tools before I left.

Should have spent the £170 you spent on tools on new ones and put the extra that it will cost you to get these refurbed, towards tehm, that way it will be about even?

I still need to tools to remove the bottom ball joint to hubs bolts as there stuck solid. The set I bought from motorwrold I manged to break.
Not thats its helped there still stuck solid going to see if i can get the bolts removed at work.

Most decent motor factors should be able to get driveshafts refurbed ok.
spoke to edde today and hopefully one of the suppliers that we use at work can supply the correct part, i stressed time and time again that this was for a non ABS 2.0 Williams......even gave edde the lengths
doin him a bit of a discounted price aswell

I thourght they were a good price.
Thanks for your help I'm bringing the old ones so we can check for definate.
It could be interesting though getting them fitted what with the track day on Friday.

Im in the North West chester area.
Hopefully Bruns got it all sorted just getting stressed that Iits gettting so close to the track day plsu I cannot put the suspension back together correctly. (see other thread)
