Mate I have a 714 BE on mine, recently rebuilt the 700 head and stuck it on. The willy ones are fine for the job I believe. The holes may seem slightly different but its fine.

Think I got:

R11410 CYLINDER HEAD GASKET SET CLIO 16V (INC HEAD GSKT) 56.00

Either that or I got the R11140 gasket for Meggy 2.0L 16v without the kit, cant remember! I think both are fine.

i have a brand new 1.8 16v gasket kit here , if the h/g on that
is fine for the job i will use it rather than buying a f7r gasket .

i need to be 100% sure otherwise its false economy

Well you've gotta get the head off first! If you are gonna get the head tested you may as well check the kit while you wait, and if its a no go then get on the blower for another set or just gasket itself.

im in the midst of changing the HG on my hybrid, i used a BGA gasket last time for a 1.8 16v and have bought the same gasket, it lasted 2 1/2 years of thrashing! I think the gaskets are the Same tbh, the fire ring dia is 83mm??

hi mate

yes the gasket kit i got here is bga make and is for a 1.8 16v
fire rings are 83mm diameter . comparing it to the head and
block seperately i can not see any clearence problems .

any ideas why the gasket failed ? 2.5 years is not a long time tbh

The Car got Thrashed hard Daily, did a Fair amount of miles in it too tbh!
In my opinion i dont think the Hg Died prematurely, Didnt Expect it to go but wasnt bothered none the less, F7 Engine's are pretty Bulletproof in my opinion provided they are serviced regularly

I dont think there many cars that would stand 2 1/2 years of relentless Thrashing everytime i went out in it!
My Pulsar only Lasted 5 weeks!! now that has HGF!!! WIN!

Out of interest, where abouts has your hg Failed? was it mixing oil or across the Cylinders? and how many times have you replaced it?

my head gasket has not failed , i got a f7r b/e and a willy head here
i want to marry soon and stick in the 9 :D hence the need for h/g .
i have a bga kit for a 1.8 16v and i did not want to fork out for a new kit .

owned f7ps for over 6-7 years now , the only time a h/g failed was
on my 19 16v after i bought it ,but you can clearly tell the car was
heavily thrashed by pikies . it had the gearbox problem where it wont stay in 2nd gear unless you hold it from cold and fuel pump whining since the day i bought it ,7 years on i am still using the same clutch ,same gearbox and same fuel pump :D :D

as for h/g it went between fire ring and water passage ,pressurising the
coolant system blowing water pipes . changed it 6 years ago and still running perfectly fine to this day ,145k miles on the clock .
