Had a look at my logbook last night and it says that my williams #250 was first registered in 1999 and that it has been used overseas, although its on an L plate, so i was wondering as it was first registered in 1999 does this mean i can put an S reg plate on it?? as i have wanted a private reg for a while but i thought i could only put a plate on it up to L reg till i noticed this!

I would say no, your car was given an age related plate when registered and your not allowed to make a car look younger than it actually is.

isn't stromba's on an R/P plate or something?

There was that late registered willy 3 that was on a P or an R plate as well :?

But they are not foreign imports.
It sounds like simons was previously registered overseas, whereas the two you mentioned were just late registered.

imports go on an age related plate. you do get late registered cars (strombas williams as an example) but it started of an english car.

Yes, or something older.
