How to measure oil pressure???

Is there a way to measure the oil pressure? Only ask as I'm not sure if my oil gauge is telling porkies :?

I'm guessing the oil pressure sender on the back of the block is at fault because it's reading 5 bar before I even start the engine and it doesn't move at all when driving. I just want to find out if it really is at fault before I start ripping bits off to get to it

garages have them, screws into block somewhere, oil pressure warning sensor at the front is a good spot
