diffrence between 1.8 and 2.0 sumps?

i have 2 sumpds here, one of my williams and the other my turbo one, they look identicle, i cant tell tehm apart at all, the numbers on them are exactly the same to, i rang renault and asked if the williams and valver have diffrent part numbers and he said they do, the number on both sumps wasnt returning anything though.

so are they the same or not?

to my mind there are 2 types of alloy sump, with their own baffle and oil pump gaurd that fit to one type or the other only, kind of a set

they are however added to the cars randomly, not a phase or model thing at all. all you need is correct baffle for the sump and it will fit any f7 series lump, any year any model

thats from my own investigations and after seeing numerous repeats of this type of thread
