Hi all just letting you all know what a massive difference this has made to the car !

today i had new shocks , 172 cup springs , new top mount bush kits , strut brace , new wishbones with poly bushes and new poly inner and outer ARB bushes and the car feels like new.

It is so much more planted and stable and truly made a massive difference that is evident straight away. if anyone is thinking about sorting theirs out then i would definately recommend it now if you'll excuse me im off to find some twisties

Yea, I agree. First thing I did for both my valver and willy was renew suspension. Makes a heck of a difference to tired handling :)

no body roll or flex and no slipping or stepping at all , i used a certain bend on a private road to check before and after and with new setup could safely push the car a fair bit quicker ! 8)

The total cost was roughly £400 for all of that , just thought i'd mention it as a guide line for anyone thinking about doing it.

New shocks ( renault )= £95 exc vat
Bush kits ( renault ) = £ 55 exc vat
172 cup springs from here ( forum ) = £50
New wishbones with poly bushes ( forum ) £80
ARB poly bushes inner + outer ( ktec ) = £38 exc vat
Strut brace ( ktec ) £89 exc vat

TOTAL £369 plus any vat on top so i worked on about £400

Hope this helps 8)

I did. Good to get sorted to be honest. Old rods wobble away and have loads of play in them at the balljoints...new ones are often so stiff you cant move them easily by hand. You can tell the difference.

Did you do rear shocks as well? They make a difference too IMO :)

The only problem I find with the new set up is that now, every little thing that's not quite right tracking wise is amplified and feels much worse than it would when there was play in everything! lol
