Welcome. :)

Northy, what do you guys exactly mean by mint? Because this car has a rusty arch and still you call it mint. The rest looks nice, I agree. I'd love to have a leather interior like this one. I don't really like the yellow dials.

I thought mint meant perfect, but you guys use this word so often I almost started to believe all cars were as good as new in the UK. http://www.renault-tuning.com/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif

I'm not lucky either. Mine had a few small bubbles to, so I had it fixed before it became ugly.

Nice mate, rust is normall people, lol

The fact that almost every first model Clio has rusty arches doesn't mean it's normal. Renault just did a poor job on rust prevention. Not only on the arches btw.

Yeah, meaning renault did a shit job on the mk1's. Its normall and you expect them to rust. Thats why when you go to buy one you check the arches/sills/tailgate. Cuz its common therefore normall

if theyre looked after and protected properly, lotsa waxoil etc then rust shouldnt really be a problem....i have more problems with stonechips than rust...and in 6 years of mk1 ownership thats not bad going

valver looks clean btw..welcome

If there looked after then it will be fine, but most hav rusty arches. You can garantee that a day after renaults 8 year anti corrosion ran out you would start to see bubbles lol.

I've been informed the rust protection stopped short of the rear arches.

Andyvalver

 That could be the problem lol
