Immobiliser problem

Think something is wrong with my immobiliser, the light is not flashing on the immob unit by the interior light, and the keyfob does not unlock the doors. I have changed the battery in the fob. The car has been standing for a while so the battery is dead, only way i can try it is by jumping it off another car. Checked the immobiliser CB and there is no obvious parts burnt out. Fuel pump primes and it turns over

Any ideas?

Charge the battery.

it is now charged and still no joy. im guessing the immobiliser sensor unit is kaput.
