what a weekend!

had a really good dice up with dan turbo man in same spec car as mine, his first run he ran a 12.87@106 on T1-R tyres, beating my 12.9 from october last year.

took me 3 attempts to get back in the running, laid a 12.83@113 on r888's

but weirdly i was seriously struggling for grip where as dan on the 'road' tyres was launching spot on everytime, his 60ft was down at 2.078, where as mine on best run was 2.275. but my car was hitting much higher terminals, pulling him back over the 1/4 which last year it wasnt, ran the same as dans did, 106 terminals? the only change i've made is lighter wheels and moved the charge cooler rad to where dan has his in the lower bumper!

we we're going to swap wheels and try each others tyres as i'm pretty convinced r888's seem to make no difference on the pd tarmac. on normal roads i launch and pull on dan everytime, but not at pod?

of course could simply be i'm shite at pod and he's mint  lol

now the bad news

dan popped his diff circlip so was out of action, and i've noticed large amounts of oil in my header tank............ :( :(

so i doubt i'm going to be in the clio for the north versus south on the 6th sept. will still be about at edition38 round the corner tho so will nip into pod see how everyone is doing! :D

we talked about that on the weekend. They're listed on PEC, but not available when you ask. I might try Cometic direct, see if they'll do a batch.

F4 is metal as standard.

oh coops

mmm i was going to go for the 20psi 320bhp chip for mine, but your one (16psi?) seems good enough!

what would your thoughts be on the 20psi chip? overkill? gearbox hell? headgasket hell?

not attainable mate, according to a few fastchips have discontinued the chips and also most of their PR department in my experience aswell, no replys to emails for months, useless

i was going to go for it but it will mean more death for components and frankly would only be much use at pod, on road its silly quick anyway and on track any more engine strain over a full track day is going to get very expensive i'd guess, so depends what direction you want to take the car. if your still going to go for it i'll have a set of cossie dark green injectors and a 3.0bar map sensor for sale soon...i think....ahhhhh cant decide

Tyre pressures could make that difference...low pressure good grip low terminals and vice versa...
