speedo cable

can anyone take a photo of a speedo cable "the end that goes into the diff" i want to make sure nothing has broken off or missing, i have just re-built my engine and im having a mare trying to get the speedo cable back in and working, my engine has an erratic idle and wants to cut out when coming to a junction people say on here speedo cable is the cause yes??

also my oil pressure gauge comes on and dies it also works in the wrong direction goes down from one bar when you rev it any ideas??
