HI All, after getting fed up of electrical problems I decided to have a go at refurbishing my alternator!
Basic cost for brand new slip ring unit and regulator with bearings was circa 35 quid delivered!
All parts sourced from here:

Postage pricey but it is courier and delivered the next day!
Not all that difficult but just have to be careful stripping old unit down, I should have taken pictures etc and perhaps done a guide but as it was trial and error wanted to see if it worked first.
Should anyone else want this doing more than happy to help out.
