Fixxing clean16vs monster'd willy box

I stripped this down with my mate Tayor (Im bringing him to RTOC and Ty coes)

Wasn't that bad tbh .....fixed now, well we think lol

Problem was the diff housing was cracked, so we tryed to fit a valver housing......only to find there different due to the willy boxes uprated bearings.

Just thought some may find that info interesting

the JC5 (williams box) has press fitted gearing and uprated bearings iirc

the JB3(valver box) has std bearings and circlips to hold the gears in place iirc

not 100% on that not read on system for a few month what it was!

yea think it was a bit of a bugger and still in process of getting repaired aint it :P

am still in need of a desent gearbox as well :cry:

Very interesting, so waht caused it to fail? The circlip gace up and teh diff collapsed?

will a megane jc5 box fit in a 16v?

it should do the wiliams runs a jc5, just need to check the speedo drive if its for cable or new plug on sensor, think thats it

and the mount to the battery tray is diff. also the speedo is cable on the valvr.........not on the meg

the megane gearbox:

the electric speedo sensor ccan be removed and replaced with valver on..
the gearbox fits, however the bracket is different so needs to be fabricated/made for the gearebox mounting
