Is this an offer or normal price?

I am getting my Turinis done but you live in Essex don't you? So a big trek for me but I am very interested in the price.

therews a place in hertfordshire that charges £140 for 4 wheels powder coated, not a special offer, thats just the price, includes blasting and refrurb obviously. polished lip is £10 extra a wheel or it might be £20 cant remember. (its actually a diamond cut lip)

Hi guys, it looks like I signed up a while ago but never posted...

Anyway just a little more info about the offer we have on for wheels at the minute,

£100 for 4 in the standard silver

or

£140 for the colour to be changed.

the price includes mild kerbing and scuffs but please ask if your unsure.

We used to offer a powder coating service which was carried out by another company but we stopped this some time ago as we could not find anybody to give the finish quality we required at a price below £250 for the 4.

Cheers

So do you paint wheels then if you don't powdercoat?

So do you paint wheels then if you don't powdercoat?

We do and use a scratch resistant clearcoat to make them more durable.

cheers

Ok, well I have some wheels I am wanting refurbed. Two have heavy curbings and need flating and some filler.

I want them in anthracite but Essex is some way from me. Could you remove and refit my tyres also?

And you would do all this for £150?

Removal and refitting adds £40 to my costs as they will also need to be balanced after, so I'm happy to do this if your happy to pay the additional costs.

Theres not really any reason to fully remove the tyres as we can access everything we need to with just the bead of the tyre broken from the rim itself.

if the wheels are staying the same colour then its £100 of its a colour change then its £140.

if you would like the tyres removed, refitted and balanced then add £40 to the costs and unless the rim is bent it isn't really needed.

Pics I can do without any problems.

Cheers

How long would it take to paint it with all fittings on and drive away?

100 for standard silver? might as well say 140 as all proper speedlines should be gold except for the magnesium ones

If there were a few sets then I would be happy to do them at £100 a set.

the reason for the £100 for silver is many people on other forums try to abuse the price by wanting all different colours done.

So £100 a set of 4 is something we can do although we cant cut the lips on the wheels as it requires a lathe.

as for timescales if enough wheels came in on the same day then we could have them all done and back on the car that day as we have full low bake oven facilities and special fast drying paints designed to be in use the same day.

so shall i take my wheels to a place where they will put them on a lathe, and then just hand the wheels to these guys at sharpe?

why not goto a place that can do an all in one service such as pristine?

rickyquicky

£100 to paint all 4 wheels sounds cheap thats why!

FATBOY
13-08-2009, 19:21
i would have them sprayed first and then cut afterwards..

katbloke
13-08-2009, 20:07
then they need to go back for laquering, by the time you spend 140 om paint, 20-30 per wheel getting lip cut you are into the price realm of pristine anyways
