Sorry if this is the wrong section , it was the most appropriate i could find based on the headings.

Its been short lived , but i bought this car as a track car. After doing some work and getting to know the car i actually think its too good for me to stack in to a barrier :D

If people dont mind , could you tell me what its worth so i can sell it and get a less worthwhile example to track slag.

Uprated Spec:-

Looks

Carbon fibre boot strip from ph2
Ph2 grille
Ph2 headlight trims
Bonnet debadged and painted black with blue fleck
Wheels painted black with blue fleck

Mechanical

Koni top adjustable yellow shocks with PI springs
Lowered about 50mm
Solid dog bone for engine stabiliser
Stainless steel exhaust
Decat
Huge Piper X filter
Kent Cams
Chip ( think gunner )

Recent Work Completed :- ( some of it minor but ill include it as i like to sort niggles out )

Niggles

Oiled and greased seat runners - they slide forwards and backwards gracefully now
Replaced centre console
Replaced parcel shelf
Refitted standard wheel brace
Refitted spare wheel
Various pieces of loom repaired and resoldered
New clutch cable
Good second hand headlights and indicators
Refitted speaker pods and baffles
New map sensor clips
new coolant cap
Service items replaced ( plugs , cap , arm , filter, oil air filter cleaned etc..)
New track rod ends
Offside steering rack boot replaced

Mechanics

Totally rebuilt head
New valve stem seals
Valves recut and lapped by hand
Head skimmed and pressure tested
16 brand new valves
Tappets drained and cleaned
New Cam seals

Bottom end removed, any gaskets that were needed replaced and block painted black.
Clutch inspected at the same time.
New cambelt
New idler/tensioner and waterpump
Gearbox circlip replaced with genuine renault item
Coolant flushed, back flushed and replaced with 5 year OAT.
Radiator repaired at local rad refurb place and pressure tested


Sills straightened out from various jacking injuries, wire brushed, treated with jenolite, then hammerite then painted body colour. They are solid as a rock.

NO RUST ON ARCHES lol

Bad bits

Sunroof was leaking and has been siliconed in , im in talks with a guy on the forum to get one delivered so should be able to sort that before a sale.

Passenger window goes up slow , needs the runners greasing which i will probably get around to this weekend

Couple of small holes from self tappers in the door cards around speaker area from large speakers being fitted.

Other than this its general age really , odd dint/scratch and the odd burn/tear in the interior but overall the car is very very straight and clean im just really honest as i hate giving false hope.

Lots of pics sorry , lol.

Apprently the car used to run 170 bhp , persoanlly i would say 155 - 160, its not shy and feels good on power

Any input appreciated, cheers guys.

1200-1500 maybe? a power graph would help to show its not a standard valver engine. and its not going to be to everyone's taste. pop it up on piston heads for 1500 imo.

Only thing not standard internally would be the cams. This is why i only estimated 15 bhp over stock for the exhaust, filter and chip. Being a rebuild the compression is as new aswell.

I understand the taste thing, ive tried to tone it down a lot , all thats left to do is repaint the bonnet and/or wheels imo. I have the standard steering wheel to go on this weekend.

If anybody wants to check the cams out , i would be happy for them to bring a rocker gasket and inpsect themselves, i have nothing to hide :)

now that i cant tell u rofl. may need someone like craig or dan who fit them to tell you. maybe take the dizzy off and if u can see a code etc, take a picture or note the code down? and pop it up on here or do a google search?
