right.. so went to pick the valver up today.. went to drive it back to mine and begin the hybrid project... the car started fine.. then all of a sudden half way home it just decided to die.. and wouldnt fire up again.. we had a head scratch and decided too tow it back with my willy.. get it back here.. change ht leads and coil pack.. fire it up.. it starts ! then revs slowly die down and it cuts out..
im completely mythed..
no idea why it ran fine then all of a sudden decided to be a cock..
i mean.. my f7r engine is going in it anyway.. but the valver engine has only done 85k and will be good to stick up in the classifieds..

anyone give me some guidance here ??.. cos im banging my head against a wall as we speak :headbutt:

put a few quids worth of 97 in it like..
the car has been standing for 3 years.. could of mixed with the mouldy crud in the bottom of the tank

Standin 3 years?........did well to get as far as it did. Have you ever stripped a fuel pump.....85% electric motor 15% pump an usually a fartin little filter inside pump entrance which is just waitin to block up :wink:

octane in the fuel has probably gone after three years, will need to drain off then refill with some fresh stuff then all should be fine

i think we need to drop the tank mate and drain it, but 1st pop some fuel flush through and bump it, see what happens :)
