if u go for the r5 gtt clutch, is a slightly better lasting clutch, and will cope with serious abuse for many years. if on a relatively standard engine

in terms of use ie pedal action and how smooth/bites is there anything to tell between the valeo and gtt unit

umm, just a little lol  im using a uprated gtt clutch and its not exactly the last word in smoothness when engaging but is able to cope with alot of stress :D

as jay says. the gtt clutch valeo unit, is a little harsher than std. like an on off a switch. just before biting point in mine it feels like the pedal is trying to force ur foot off the pedal, pretty much just as it bites, can b quite tricky for the first couple of launches. but u soon get used to it.

the other has an organic helix item. pretty much the same feelin, but with a heavier pedal

R5 GTT uprated clutch is immense.

If you blink you'll miss the bite and stall the engine lol, however, if you get it right, you can do some seriously hard launches without any clutch slip. I feckin love it!!

had the old gtt one in my valver and used to laugh at my mates as they couldn't drive it :D

Easy to get used to, but one thing to note is when jumping into company cars i used to think the clutch wasn't working would put my foot on it and stomp it to the ground, they were all so light :S

agreed it will stand alot of abuse, mine seems to be very snappy but is a little better then what it was new lol pain in the ass if in traffic but once moving you cant tell tbh just getting rolling can be a pain!
