Are these 4" speaker slots?

What's the best speaker you've managed to fit snugly. :driving:

The powerful ones I've tried come forward a bit at the front so the vent cover doesn't fit as well.

Yes they house 4" speakers.

I have some two way Pioneer fitted. I can't remember the power output on them.

Maybe I should go for a component system? Has anyone found a cunning place for nounting a tweeter without damaging the car?

I got some Alpine tweeters that just stuck (with sticky pads) on top of the very top of the door cards, near the A-pillar. I removed them later with no damage to the cards.

I mounted the tweeters for the components there - any other speaker I tried just sucked big time.

I got them for half the price to import from USA via ebay. Wonder how much customs will charge?

As you can see, they're the 5.25" ones for putting in the doors of Williams 3. I might use the 4" slot up front to house the tweeter instead. It might be too far away from the big speaker tho. I'll have to try different things.

It sounds good - obviously I didin't pay that much for mine but I had components set up in this way - no issues with the locations..

I had the tweeters angled up slightly towards the top of the car - worked well!

Wow, they arrived from USA within 48hours, with no customs charge - Just £220 all in!

I don't have an amplifier yet, so running from head unit at first. But there's one pair of inputs on the crossover for tweeters and another pair for the woofers. How am I supposed to connect two pairs of connectors with one pair of cables? I guess I'll have to bridge them with a short wire for now, but what's the proper way?

:?:

Old door cables into crossover, (although you really do need better cable spending that much!) wire the mid/bass, send a fresh cable from the crossover through the door upto the old dash speaker location.

upto you where you mount the crossover

I mounted it behind the tweeters in the dash, my setup was old dash speaker connection into crossover, tweeter straight off that and I wired up a new set of cables through the door loom into the door.

Took forever mind!
