From the lengthy discussions elsewhere on the forum it looks like this Champion filter is the one to have to get a good reading on the oil pressure random-o-meter worry guage.

But I'm having trouble finding one or even being able to order one - any help in finding one would be appreciated!

Cheers, Glyn

I've just fitted a halfords one to a car and it gave good pressure results.

Halfords one i had was too chunky and a pain to fit.

Im on my second Champion F136 filter now, halfords for £11.29. Always have one on the shelf.

Ok, cheers guys. It must just be the dappy old bag that works in my Halfords then. I'll try another branch instead!

my old halfords filter was a right pain. Gave me zero pressure at idle when warm (oil temp 100) and when i tried to remove it i had to smash the hell out of it and deform it to get it past the subframe.

Dont do it, whats wrong with genuine?

the same issues with lower oil pressure on the new type renault filters the previous version produced more pressure, the F136 is same or similar dimension to original renault but from what i read gives decent pressure

F136's create awsome oil pressure from my experience.

hope all your seals are good then. Dont really need it pushing 6 bar out when cold.

What kind of max oil pressure should you be getting when fully warmed up. e.g. @ 6000 rpm full throttle?

dont think pressure is goin to be that excessive  with my current renault filter i see on tickover cold about 5 bar when hot at tickover 1-2 bar at 3000rpm in top and hot about 3 bar

with my renault filter i get 0.5 bar when hot at idle. iv never had chance to check the oil pressure at full chat because iv been going too fast to look  all my other pressures seem about the same as yours.
Im running cheap oil at the minute. goin for some mobil1 supersyn next week

My gauge reads 62psi, so about 4.2 bar. But it varies so much from engine to engine.

I'd want about 3 filters for that.
