What psi a clio 172 coolant bottle cap is?

Long odds someone might know on here but I'm sick to death of asking on CS and all I get is "why do you want to know that?"

BECAUSE I ****ING WANT TO!

thats because no one on CS knows or gives a toss... just like any other remotely technical question asked over there.

Well I think its 1.4 bar so prove me wrong.

Was thinking of using a willy cap instead so I can use my hill power covers as it won't fit on the ghey new ones. But wan't to know if they're roughly the same values so I don't have any issues.

cant see it being a problem myself unless you have hg failure.

A higher Cap pressure will increase the boiling point of coolant in your system not such a bad thing!

the 172 workshop manual says it should be brown and 1.2 bar

but they all have yellow hand logos on em, so 1.4?

Well mines a tad mucky but I think thats due to lack of regular changes from the first owner.

Hence the new tank and green coolant - although looking into changing it its gonna be a reet cnut!

Took me long enough to swap the battery yesterday!
