Sent my wheels away to Pristine last Thursday, got a phone call yesterday saying they are ready and will be shipped out so i will get them tomorrow (Today), Phoned Pristine up as no sign of wheels yet, they said wheels will be with you today. They couldn't provide a reference number.

Phoned the local business post depot in Aberdeen, and they have no records of the wheels, Back on the phone to pristine to be told they haven't yet been sent out.

I'm quite disappointed with the lack of communication, and poor service

I know I'm rather disappointed with the lack of communication between Pristine and myself, and also there internal communication as i was told 3 times today the wheels have been shipped and i will get them today.

After phoning back again,i only got told the wheels havent been shipped once i started to query why business post had no records of the wheels

I've heard good things about their work. Not far from me either.

doesn't say anything about the quality of their work, just that they're perhaps the not most organised, even that this was a one-off?

So how much then?

Total bill comes to £383 that was for 5 wheels

I know it was rather expensive but the colour match is spot on and the wheels look like new

Will post some pictures later, currently applying Poorboys Wheel Sealant :D

Thanks guys :D

I had this very same issue as you know. I had a big car meet the weekend I was due to get the wheels back and guess what...they hadn't sent them despite being told they would definitely be there. Had to fork out another £40 to have them couriered on Saturday.

They are very good though. Only a minute examination reveals any flaws.

When you get them use wheel wax like Poorboys on them. It helps...that reminds me...must get some more on mine!

I know Pristeen quite well, my best friend was their quality controller for 2 years a while back, and he still gets favours on his own stuff. I've never seen better refurbs TBH, and some of the things that have gone in there you wouldn't recognise. I think you sometimes have to accept that they're done when they're done, it's not like they're taking months over it, afterall. A few days in reality isn't the end of the world, frustrating though it may be.

This is true and we do understand. But when a customer is on a deadline and has been told more than once they will be delivered on a certain day, it's frustrating to have to chase people when they don't arrive.

It's like the sofa delivery man not coming on the day you have taken off work to accept collection of the goods, frustrating.

Quality of workmanship is awesome.
Some notes on quality of service (in terms of meeting 'deadlines') may not be as good.

I know which I would sacrifice if I was given the choice.

The wheel specialist in Leeds did an amazing job on mine, the fronts were proper goosed from the last owner.

Done in a day, drive in drive out 5 alloys and caps for £280 - I'd gladly go there again

Did this include the diamond cut lip and refitting and balancing. What was the colour match like?
I have had a similar quote from TWS in Manchester but they say that the machined rim can not be done on the same day service.
