Tried removing my fuel rail today before removing engine but it won't budge. I have removed the nuts holding it in and it now freely moves up and down on the bolts but can't pull it away from the engine. Is it held on anywhere else? Or is it something else? Help!

is this the plastic one or the metal?

Are the injectors still attatched,if they are they have rubber 0-rings that go into the head and can be tight.

Metal I believe. Would getting a picture help? Can I remove the engine with the rail and injectors still attached?

The o-rings on the injectors are pretty tight into the head, they will come out but may need a bit of persuasion,i replaced the o-rings with new ones when i removed mine

spray a bit of lube on the o-rings where the injectors go in the head. They should come out with a little working back and forth

Why are you removing the fuel rail to remove the engine?

Just undo the two fuel lines leading up to the rail underneath the car.

I find it much, much easier that way, don't even have to touch the fuel rail.

Be careful if the fuel is still pressurised, wear goggles!
