HEADGASKET fcs

Some of you may have noticed my early departure from the FCS,or may be not, my son who also was at the show with his r5 or not quite.........head gasket blew about a mile from entrance.

Got towed back eventually etc.....the following day we began strip down ,as i pulled the head off,i thought strange the gasket looked a little diffferent.It was it was on UPSIDE DOWN who the f...k dillwad put that on?

the number 1 head bolt undid with two fingers...so much for torque wrenchin then.....im amazed the little engine ran at all. :shock:

It runs fine now..........i wonder why they write the word "top" on the gasket???

who fitted the head gasket before ??

have you used the same gasket or a new one ?

Yea efran me being a tight wad thought its been used on the wrong side why dont i turn it over an bobs your uncle! :lol:

damn right, if its only been used a little re-use the bolts, gasket and belt etc...

jesus tho who put that on the wrong way??? i would have words!!!

These cars are gettin on a bit i reckon the gasket was put on by the local blacksmith :lol:
