eratic idle & running probs

Need a bit of help fellas, trying to put a 16v on the road again, engine was in another car I bought as spares an so transplanted it into this 16v. On start it idles eratically between 1000 & 1500 rpm, changed lamba and no good. Also wether cold or hot as soon as you press throttle it chokes and nearlly stalls! Checked cold start valve and no probs, works fine, tried another 16v ecu and same probs! turned revsdown on inlet screw and still won't drop below 1000 revs!

Any ideas as this is irritating me to hell.

Sounds like you might have an air leak somewhere.

Have you tried changing the idle speed control valve? Throttle potentiometer?

Is the speedo cable connected?
