As part of the renovation/putting back on the road of 123 I plan to send it to have a major service on the engine, new belts gaskets and such and such.

On the last MOT before it was stored the garage noted an oil leak into cylinder 1, obviously I will be having this resolved.

Are there any things to pay attention to in particular or things to specify to the garage for them to change as a precaution. The engine is on 93k now. The cam belt has been changed once I believe.

How did they pick up an oil leak into the cylinder on an MOT?

Dunno, I think it was a service/MOT.

It was over 2 years ago.

If it was a during a service they probably took the plugs out and it was covered in oil, this is just a leaking rocker cover gasket and not a leak into the cylinder.

Ahh, ok. You'll have to excuse my ignorance with such things.

I'll fish the paperwork out in the near future, I vaugely remember the rocker cover being mentioned.
