Hi guys,

Quick question: my cambelt was done at 97k just over 2 years ago. The car is now on 125k. When should I get it changed?

I've done a quick search on here and answers ranged from every 5 years and 70k to every 2-3 years and 36k. Do higher mileage engines need them changing more regularly?

5 years or 60k miles is what i heard .
on the other hand it does not mean it wont fail tomorrow .

another thing to bare in mind is the tensioner and idler pullies !!
most people dont bother with them when changing cambelt .

Fair enough, thanks guys.

I think I'll leave it a couple of months and get it changed at about 130k later on in the year.
