250cc 2 stroke shifter go-kart. Its an ex-race kart which has been used soley for fun since its race days.
This go kart is an absolute animal!! The acceleration is phenominal. It has a Yamaha 250cc engine, which incorporates a power-valve for that extra bit of go. It has a 5spd gearbox which is operated via the shifter on the left of the steering wheel. The engine runs well, with no nasty noises etc. Oil is changer regularly.

It has dual front in-board discs and calipers (one set per wheel), and a single rear disc brake. All hydraulic, with adjustable bias on the pedal bar.

Its an absolute blast, whether its on a large smooth car-park, or on track.

There are approximately 40 tyres included, half of which are on rims. Some of the rims are damaged, but most are usable. There is also a new seat included as the original is a bit tatty.

Overall its in fairly good condition, the aluminium under-tray could do with replacing as its a bit battered, but its just a sheet of 3mm aluminium.

£700

Is this thing race-able? I mean does it fit any kind of cart racing category? With the 5 speed box, I'm not sure... Or is this cart just for fun? :)

Yes, the F1 superkarts are 250cc shifter karts.

But this is about 10yrs old, im sure there will be faster/newer karts....

Depends on the sprocket set you use. Currently I would say approx 120mph.

I would say 0-60mph in about 2.5 - 3 seconds.
