well for those that didnt already know....i had a little mishap on the last meet.thought id do a bit of a video diary type thing

after coming to a halt...getting home and having a quick shufty stripdown.

all thats needed now is to go pick me newly acquired engine up on mon, drop the driveshafts, box oil, eng. mounts, swap the bits over and refit

what happened exactly ? was it manufacture fault with the kent pullys ? or did you just rag it a bit too much?

well the only damage to the pullies occured after the bolt had sheered i reckon, so manufacture fault of the pullies is ruled out

the bolts were torqued correctly, and were new from reno on build 18 months ago.

well im picking a new(used) engine up on monday...........along with g/box and ecu......so im just gunna throw that straight in.....cant afford to buy that and repair mine this month. oh well.wil be strange going back to std power lol....would u believethat i bought the engine bout 1 1/2 hours before this let go lol


id say a torsional failure on the bolt ben tbh.....not sure of direction as the bolts bin rattled about as well.....it looks like its been a failure over a period rather than 1 good snap if u know wot i mean........which would explain my feeling of poor running leading up to it

not sure of how much ,more damage tho.......will have to pul the head off when iv got the lump out

2 bent valves and a bit of a slapped piston lol

dunno on exact plan of action yet....probs gunna repair this now, might even throw a meg head on hehe

notice the lack of silver paint on the head and cam carriers etc ....all cleanish alloy.......mind u not bad for a 10 min clean lol

Looking good mate. Could have been alot worse, two bent valves and are you going to refurb or replace the piston? still ashame though.

took it for a spin........fuk me its slow lol..........well....still has the same btm end pull..but the diff after 4k is loads lol......grrrrrrrr
