Having trouble shifting the nut on the union ate top of the front flexi hose that goes to the caliper.
Would it be ok to put some heat on the nut to shift it or would it melt the metal brake lines or would it cause the brake fluid to egnite???

What Jon says. Never bother messing around with sticking brake unions. If it doesnt come off after 5mins of soaking with wd40 (or similar) we just cut the pipe just above the union and make some new pipes. You can then also get the old sticking union off with a socket much easier.

You can carefully add some heat, that's what i did.

if your careful, use some mild heat, loads of plus gas, have the right tools.....take ages...you can get them undone.

Otherwise replace it lol.

I HATE brake unions.
