Hello people,

I will be buying a Valver in October to replace my Fiesta 1.6.

Any tell tale signs i should look for when buying one? :)

Check wheel arches and sills for rust. Also open the hatch and look in the corners where the drain holes are as these rust.

Check the gearbox is OK (if its crunching it'll probably go when you thrash it, although if it isn't it'll probably go at some time if you thrash it anyway lol)

Check all the fluid levels to make sure they're OK. Also check how much anti freeze is in the system by seeing how dark/pale the water is. If its really pale it might have been running low and the owner has topped it up just with water.

Make sure all the interior is stuck down OK.

See ya

Matt

check all the sil's for rust and damage

Check the roof behind the sunroof, as they buckle and bend and that can also mean the sunroof is leeking !
