Whining Noise :-(

Hi I have a whining noise coming from somewhere and is continuously getting louder, at first I thought it was a wheel bearing but I have jacked up all 4 corners and gave the wheels a bearing test but all seems clear.

This makes me think it may be something more serious. Any ideas anyone?

in every gear?

is the noise speed dependant? ie louder with higher speed

It kinda starts around 40mph and carries on up to 80 the noise does vance depending what speed your at though :?

Sounds like gearbox mate :(

Check the oil level!

Easy to well if its the gearbox. Knock it out of gear and listen if the sound stops.

could still be a wheel bearing
it doesnt always show or wobble when wheel is jacked up

It must be :roll: I knocked it out of gear and the noise was still there... It's does change tune going round some corners....
