Hi

What's the best engine oil and best gearbox oil for Clio Williams? Just want to put the good stuff in at the next service. The car is standard.

Oh, and where do I buy it?

Cheers, guys!

Use the renault elf oil. Tranself. TRJ

Get it from a renault dealer. Its thinner than most off the shelf stuff. You can use other brands but will have to get them from a place like tweeks. Millers is good, i have used that too. The main point is to get the thin oil the same as the standard renault stuff.

Renault engine oil for the williams has never been fully synthetic. Its part synthetic / mineral blend.

The gearbox oil is also part synthetic.

not sure how much oil usage differs, but I've always used Motul or Silkolene Pro S in my F4R. 5w/40 fully synth for me... seems okay as it's lasted 100k, 65k of which on ITB's, thrashed constantly and without mercy or sympathy.

Tried many oils but now use Shell Helix Ultra 5w/40, seems to work best with my engine, can't see me changing from this tbh...

Pretty sure 5w 40 fully synth is the right oil for a mk2
