So further to my wheel coming loose thread the garage tried loctite (spelling?) to try and keep nuts tight. They have left loctite finger prints on the alloy which I now can't get off.

Sounds stupid but it is really annoyinng any suggestions? Have tried turps.

Only did a tiny tiny bit of turps and washed it straight off honest:oops:

To be honest the alloys are a mess anyway its just the marks are annoying me.

Should have said tried Megs paint cleaner 1st guess it is time to buy a clay bar.

Well, normally a clay bar people associate with the paint work on the body, but it can remove things like over spray so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

The best thing to use is "standard thinners" from your local car parts store, it only costs £5 an will get anything off (will take the paint off if left on).

Might be worth asking the guys at www.detailingworld.com

First off as its the softest and chemical free option try using detailing clay, then if that doesnt work try autoglym bug and tar remover might help desolve it, if it looks like its going to work but needs abit more step up to autosmarts tardis.

As with anything try a hidden test area if possible, but tardis is commonly used as a tar removed on alloy wheels and lower body panels

This is dead simple:

Drive to garage
Ask them to remove the prints
If they fail to return the alloys to the condition prior to the propblem hand over letter requesting new alloys within 14 days or you will proceed with legal action in a small claims court.
