spluttering

hiya my car has started spluttering and dropping off on the rpm. it does this really randomly and sometimes when its being driven it will just lose all power and noise and you think its stalled...but no it suddenly kicks back in.

i found a suspect connection on my ht leads so im replacing those, i also cleaned the plugs. what else could it be if it persists after i've changed the leads? a mate said the fuel filter could be blocked a bit. hence the momentary drop in power.

Yep, def sounds like a missfire.

Plugs, HT leads, ignition coil, I'd also do a compressoin test on each cylinder. Make sure nothing else is damaged.

Could be other stuff too but I'd try those things first. New dizzy and rotor arm is nice cheap and easy to do as well :)

cool well the leads are on the way and i have a set of plugs knocking so i'll change them. however im on track saturday and havent got time to change the other stuff. seriously why does my car always fall to pieces the week before a track session! lol
