OK, i've decided to sell my mi16, it has a rock solid shell and is in pretty good condition for its age, NO RUST,its in sorrento green which as you will no doubt know is a very sought after colour, the car is in the exact same condition as when i bought it 2 years ago, it has a dent in the bootlid, and a mark on the drivers side door, i have bought another sorrento green 205gti to swap the bootlid and door off, but i have never got round to it, but whoever buys the car can swap them over by all means, i have just put 6 months tax on it, and insured it for the grand total of £196 a year, through hic classic car policy ( with every mod declared ) the car has 3 months mot left, will sail through next mot.

Car was originally a 1.6 gti, and is still registered as a 1.6 gti, so tax is cheap and you could insure it as a 1.6 but theres no point really as classic policys are cheaper, by a long way!

1.9 alloy block
longman head & cams
twin carbs
vernier pulleys
uprated clutch
1.6 gearbox with quickshift
avo coilovers
1.9 brake calipers with new ds2500 pads
powerflow exhaust
1.9 speedlines with yoko tyres
rear stud conversion

The car has previously managed to run 0-60 in 5.76 and 1/4 mile in 14.1, this was done at french car show 2006, it came 11th out of 300 cars, with full leather interior, a boot load of camping gear and almost bald tyres, and a restrictive exhaust.

since then i have stripped the interior out, bar 2 seats, dash and roof lining, ( still has electric windows ) i took the car to skip brown ( pug specialists ) to have it rolling road tuned and get the cambelt changed and pulleys, on the 1st rolling road session it managed 180bhp at the wheels, after a bit of tweaking it then got upto 188bhp at the wheels, which equates to around the 220bhp at the flywheel, this was done with a crack in the exhaust, i drove the car home from the rolling road and the exhaust fell off lol, so that got replaced with a stainless steel powerflow unit, so i have no doubt in my mind that it is easily 190bhp at the wheels now!

Performance on this car is awesome, low 5's to 60, it will be a 13 second 1/4 mile car all day long, i have had no trouble with subaru's/porche boxters/m3's etc in my ownership, the look on there face is priceless.

This car will make an extremely capable track car or one hell of a fast road car.

milage on car is 153k will go up slightly as i still use it a couple of times a week, engine is on 73k and pulls like a train.

i will get pics up as soon as i can, car could do with a good polish up, bootlid and drivers door replacing( BUT LIKE I SAID, YOU CAN GLADLY HELP YOURSELFS TO MY OTHER SORRENTO 205 FOR PARTS )and a bit of tlc, wheels could do with a refurb, bar that its a bit of an animal!

Car is hpi clear,
