I'm pretty sure GSF is cheaper - haven't got prices to hand though.

do gsf sell grooved discs ??

Probably not. But sell rear discs and bearings which work 100% and for less.

for standard stuff there are cheaper places than gsf .
grooved discs are always more expensive and they
work much better imo .

Depends if u went in the same car with ungrooved discs too ;)
and it is always hard to judge components as a passenger anyhow.

To Conclude IMO - stick to blank rears, doubt grooved rears will give any benefit. Gsf sell blank rear discs and bearings for a decent price.

I bought some rear discs from those guys on Ebay. I thought it was a reasonable price including bearings and new nuts. Definitely a reputable seller as it all arrived the next day:

Yeah, both front and rear had brand new discs put on a few months ago and car is still laid up without an engine so I am watching them slowly turn orange  Hopefully it is all surface stuff though so as soon as I get the thing back on the road it will all brush off within a few applications of the brakes. The good news is that all the time I spent removing and painting the rear beam, caliper carrier and brake disc protector seems to have been worthwhile as they still look like new, with no signs of rust, even though they have been exposed to the elements for a while now.

Are they not fitted the wrong way round?
I was always led to believe the grooves should channel the dust outwards.

No, I don't think so Mat. I've seen grooves used in both directions over the years but the key thing is on the vented ones you must get the internal vanes turning correctly for cooling as they are definitely 'handed'. So for the fronts this is definitely the correct way around:

I have just stuck the rears on to match the direction the grooves were in on those!
